A gift from the sea of Ishigaki.

"Hoshijio-Star Salt" from Ishigaki Island

Ishigaki Island was born a long time ago.

"Hoshijio-star Salt" is made only from the seawater of the coral reefs of this island ,

By turning the seawater components directly into salt, the salt contains plenty of iodide ions and iodate ions, resulting in a salty taste with a strong umami flavor .

Furthermore, the content of calcium and other ingredients contained in Hoshi Salt is unmatched among Japanese natural salts.

Okinawan sun-dried salt

Tenpi means the sun or the light of the sun. Drying seafood by exposing it to direct sunlight is called sun drying.

Similarly, sun-dried salt is made by exposing seawater to the dazzling light and heat of Okinawa's sunshine and evaporating the water.

Hoshi Salt is made from dried seawater from Shiraho Beach on Ishigaki Island , Japan's westernmost island, surrounded by rich coral reefs .

I think many people have a longing for Okinawa.

Bright sunshine and sparkling emerald waters.

We would be delighted if people all over Japan could enjoy the bounty of Ishigaki Island 's nature.

A first in Japan

It has won awards from two international food certifying organizations.

At the International Taste and Quality Institute held in Brussels, Belgium in 2022

In a panel of 200 chefs and sommeliers, this was the first salt-related product in Japan to receive the Taste Excellence Award .

In addition, in 2023, it will receive the Excellence Quality Award at the 62nd Monde Selection .

We will continue to work hard with confidence and pride as the world-renowned Hoshijio-Star Salt of Ishigaki Island .
